Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
VITA provides free tax assistance for low to moderate income families, ensuring clients get access to tax credits for which they are eligible. 75% of all refunds stay with the local community. VITA provides financial products and services to promote long-term savings and improve financial stability.
Since 2003, CCS has prepared more than 53,000 returns, with refunds of over $80 million.

Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC)
LITC provides free legal consultation and representation on tax-related matters. LITC conducts educational workshops on tax-related topics to limited-English speaking audiences. The program also serves as intermediary between the IRS and the client to resolve levies, liens, audits, and other tax matters.
The LITC clinic has an attorney on staff, as well as several volunteer attorneys, CPAs, and enrolled agents, who are certified to represent taxpayers in IRS proceedings, as well as at US Tax Court.
