Seniors and adults with disabilities can share a light breakfast and a nutritious lunch with other friendly seniors when they attend CCS - Yuma’s Senior Nutrition Congregate Meal Program. The noon meal is designed to meet one-third of an older adult’s daily nutritional requirements. Along with the meals, seniors also visit with friends, participate in fun activities, and receive information on healthy aging and self-care.
Congregate meals are for persons aged 60 and over (or spouse, regardless of age), who are in greatest social and economic need for meals and/or socialization.
Participants are given an opportunity to contribute towards the cost of the meal, and there is a suggested donation at the center.
How to participate:
Visit the Northend Community Center for more information. A monthly menu and an event/activity schedule is provided. Staff is available for questions and will give you a brief application to fill out in order to participate.
