The Community Outreach Program for the Deaf – New Mexico (COPD-NM) is a statewide, community-based, not-for-profit organization that empowers individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind to live independently and achieve their personal goals. COPD-NM seeks to “fill the gaps” in the community by providing high quality, evidence-based services.
Our client services team is composed of service coordinators, support service providers, vocational rehabilitation specialists, and learning specialists who work to offer a comprehensive package of programs and services in a supportive community environment that is linguistically and culturally accessible. The team is designed to meet needs and develop effective service plans.
How to Participate:
The vocational program services are available free-of-charge for individuals who are referred by the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and live in the Albuquerque Metro and Santa Fe areas. The DeafBlind Special Services Department provides services statewide for individuals who are Deafblind or Deaf plus (Deaf with additional significant disabilities).
